You’ll learn how to build a fully functional QuickBooks Online file for a real company, from start to finish. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and apply what you learn in real time, as the course is built to be both instructional and practical.

Course Details

Over eight weeks, I'll guide you step-by-step through building a real QuickBooks Online company file from the ground up.

Think of it like building a house: we'll start with the foundation (setting up your chart of accounts), then frame the walls (sales & expenses), & finally add all the finishing touches (reconciling accounts, generating reports). You'll learn practical, real-world techniques that go beyond just clicking buttons—you'll understand the "why" behind each step!

The live blended class will run the eight weeks from November 4 through December 30, 2024. The 16 classes will be held every Monday & Wednesday for two hours, from 9a to 11a Pacific (noon to 2p Eastern).

Key Features

Learn by doing: We'll use Intuit's "sandbox" company file, Craig's Design and Landscaping, to walk you through each process, click by click. Because it resets every time, you can practice as often as you need to master the skills.

Expert Guidance: You'll receive a copy of "QBO Complete," a comprehensive textbook to support your learning journey.

Build a complete company file: Throughout the course, you'll apply your knowledge to build a QuickBooks Online file for "Imagine Photography," a retail and service business. This hands-on project will give you tangible experience and a portfolio-worthy sample company.

Live, interactive classes: Engage with the instructor and fellow students in live sessions. Ask questions, share insights, and learn from each other's experiences.

Session recordings: Catch up on missed classes or review the content at your convenience.
